What a beautiful sunny day! Just came back after enjoying sunlight. I spent most of it the time catching up on sleep at home. Remember i told you guys that i am hypersomniac (lol). I was eating so healthy these days and that makes me feel good from inside and it's kinda cool.
Oh sorry sorry for my stupid blah blah...Let's talk about this sport, shall we?
Well, Bat and trap is an English bat-and-ball pub game. It's played between two teams of players up to eight. One team is batting and the other is bowling.
The bat is shaped like a table tennis paddle. The ball is heavy and rubber. The trap is a small mechanical seesaw with a wooden flap on the front. The pitch is two 7-foot (2.1 m) high posts situated 21 yards (19 m) away and 13 feet 6 inches (4.11 m) apart at the other end of the playing area.
The game involves placing ball on one end of a trap. The first player from the batting team hits the opposite end of the trap with the bat to launch the ball about 18-24 inches into the air, and then attempts to knock the ball down to the other end of the pitch between the two posts.
If any of the bowling side team catches the ball before it hits the ground the batsman is out. The batsman is also out if he fails to hit the ball between the posts at a height not exceeding 7 feet. If the bowling team fail to bowl the batsman out then the batsman is awarded by one run and the batsman continues to bat until he bats out, is bowled or caught out, or until the batting team's total score reaches a predetermined limit which is normally 75 for team of eight players or 30 for team of four players.
